Nestled in the foothills of Wyoming’s Big Horn Mountains, this small community of Benedictine Sisters has adapted well to a life of work and prayer in this rugged region. But hard work and harsh elements can take a toll on the body, so these resourceful women developed a gentle herbal salve to help hydrate their skin and sooth the scrapes and scratches that come with life in the country. The lavender scented herbal salve is handmade using nine skin-soothing herbs grown in the monastery garden, along with olive oil and beeswax. This healing salve is a godsend for anyone who suffers from life’s bumps and bruises.
