We just couldn’t resist the temptation of this little vanity — our logo on a candle…but not just any candle. This candle is made by the sisters at St. Gertrude’s Monastery in Cottonwood, Idaho.  The sisters have developed a process that imprints religious symbols and sayings on candles.  When we asked the sisters how they did it we were told, “It is a secret, dear.”  Then we asked if they could manage to get “Sister” and her tractor to appear on a candle.  Miraculous maybe, illuminating, absolutely!
 
At “Sister’s” request Holy Orders will donate 50% of our profits from the sale of the candles to Mercy Corps.

The candle burns slowly and evenly down the center. Don’t worry, Sister doesn’t melt but she does become illuminated as the candle light shines behind her.
