Even though our search for a convent where nuns still make lace by hand proved futile, our prayers were answered when we discovered the “Lace Ladies.” Working hard to preserve the dying art of hand-made lace, these amazing women are all graduates of convent schools in Southern India where Belgian nuns have been teaching lace making and embroidery since the 1800’s. Last year we commissioned the “Lace Ladies” to create our first Holy Orders signature product, the “Bless You” Hankie. The hankies have been so well received that we decided to design another item that would feature the exceptional skills of the “Lace Ladies.” Any host or hostess will be proud to place these lovely lace and delicately hand-embroidered linen towels in the guest bath for their blessed guests to use and admire.
