CISTERCIAN
WINDOW NOTECARDS 4 Pack Purity of line and simplicity are key elements in Cistercian art and architecture. They are also found in Sister Victorias pen and ink "Window Note Cards." Sister has lived, worked, prayed and studied Cistercian art and architecture at this small abbey for the past twenty-one years. Sitting at her drafting table and inspired by a quote of Saint Bernards, "Remove what is superfluous and you shall see an increase of what is good and necessary," Sister Victoria began her exploration into Cistercian Abbey Windows. In a note to us she wrote, "I hope their quiet simplicity will touch your souls and those to whom you send them." To that we say, AMEN! This window notecard of the Fossanova Abbey in Italy was one of Sister Victorias first and remains one of our favorites. The pack contains 4 cards of Sister Victorias Fossanova Abbey 12th 13th century Italy design. $8.00 (comes wrapped in cellophane and ribbon but not in a burlap bag) |
